SAQ5.0 - New sustainability guidelines will be published in November 2022

The most important changes summarized for you

The most important changes of the new SAQ5.0:

  • More details on human rights reporting
  • More detailed questions on the supplier grievance mechanism/procedure – with a focus on its content and monitoring
  • Additional aspects have been added within a series of policy questions to reflect a desire to understand if suppliers place particular emphasis on new requirements.
  • The use of renewable energies – proportion of electricity and heating/cooling to be provided from renewable sources
  • Detailed requirements for reducing corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) targets, including Scope 3 emissions.
  • Transparent presentation of whether suppliers use persistent and organic pollutants (POPs) or are involved in the import/export of hazardous waste.
  • Added new materials to the checklist used to assess responsible sourcing of raw materials, e.g. chrome, cotton, polysilicon, magnesium, etc.
