This training provides you with the basics for performing process audits in the supply chain in accordance with VDA 6.8, considering the process-oriented approach and customer-specific requirements for comprehensive application in the automotive industry.

You will learn which requirements are relevant in the areas of project management, planning/realization, supplier management, procurement, transport, production and warehouse logistics as well as in customer management and how the requirements can be implemented in concrete terms.

 

Seminar contents

The examination takes place in the form of an audit simulation. The assessment is focused on the performance as an auditor during the simulation. Audit preparation, auditor behavior during the simulation, and debriefing follow-up are evaluated.

The examination consists of:

  • a preparation phase (25 minutes)
  • an audit simulation (20 minutes)
  • a formulation, evaluation and justification of findings (5-10 minutes)
  • an interview (5-10 minutes)

For preparation, you may use the written training materials handed out (incl. standards) during VDA trainings you have attended, which you must bring to the examination yourself.

Target group

  • Employees from supply chain/QM departments who perform process audits in their own organization (internally).
  • Employees from supply chain/QM departments who perform process audits in the supply chain (externally).
  • External auditors (deployed as service providers)
  • Users/applicants of VDA 6.3 and Global MMOG/LE

Requirements

  • a copy of your certificate of qualification of the training “VDA 6.8 – Process Auditor – Qualification”
  • proof of completion of a three-day auditor qualification course based on DIN EN ISO 19011 (e.g. VDA Auditor)
  • proof of at least five years of professional experience in an industrial company, of which at least two years should be in logistics-related areas of activity (see chapter 3.2, preferably same as process elements L1-L7). In-company training periods in conjunction with a completed dual education, e.g. as a warehouse logistics specialist and/or advanced training, e.g. Certified Logistics Manager are credited at 50%. A degree in Logistics/Supply Chain is credited at 25%.

 

Admission to the exam is only granted after successful review of the application.

Graduation

After passing the examination you will receive a certificate with a registered number. The certificate is valid for 5 years.
A fee of € 300 will be charged for retaking the oral exam.
