The aim of the training is to create a basic understanding of the structure, organization and essential additional requirements of the IATF in conjunction with ISO 9001:2015, the Sanctioned Interpretations (SIs), Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) and the Automotive Core Tools.

• Harmonized Structure in the context of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016
• Commonalities between ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016
• Main objectives and additional requirements of IATF 16949:2016
• Requirements and handling of Sanctioned Interpretations (SIs) and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR)
• Selected requirements of IATF 16949:2016 regarding Automotive Core Tools
• IATF certification requirements from the organizational perspective

Objectives

• Convey understanding of the structure and setup of IATF 16949 in the context of ISO 9001 
• Recognize why IATF 16949 must always be applied in combination with SIs, CSR and Automotive Core Tools 
• Understand why organizations should be familiar with at least certain sections of the certification requirements
• Provide decision-making guidance for executives and employees regarding the relevance of the standard for their own organization or role
