Quality management in Agriculture            
The EU-Commission recommended to the farming and agricultural industries to take on responsibility for food safety and quality in the future by implementing a quality assurance system that encompasses all farms and processing facilities at every level of processing.
According to an EU regulation the traceability of food and animal feed must be assured throughout every step of production, processing and retail.  This also includes harvest, transportation and storage on the farm and if the farmer does it himself, transportation to a collection facility
